Well, Todays rant was going to be mainly concerned with the election manifesto otherwise known as the Queens speech, but something else has proved more irritating...
Without going into the specifics (which is more than my life's worth), how is it possible for a hospital to receive a pair of samples in the same envelope, test one, lose the other and deny receipt of said second, causing a repeat set of bloods to be taken, whence THE SAME THING happens again ? Furthermore, how is it that noone appears to be accountable for this level of fuck up ? I know it's not like lives are at stake... Oh, er, yes actually there could be.
And just to finish - to claim an 8 week wait when it takes 6 weeks for the letter inviting you to join the waiting list to arrive is at best disingenuous, at worst a downright lie. What happened to all my bloody taxes that were supposed to 'improve' the NHS ?
Rant ends..

Beginnings and other appropriate stuff
Right, well, enough threats of "this has made me so angry I need to complain to someone - oh no: there doesn't seem to be anyone listening so it's going to have to be the cat..."
I intend this blog to be a repository of my rants and ramblings, but please feel free to comment/contribute if you feel it appropriate - assuming anyone ever even reads it !
So where to start ? Well, the lunacy of the collapse of the DAC made me pretty angry: Gather a group of experts, then dismiss their recommendations and follow this lunacy by sacking the expert in the field when he points out the lack of rational thinking in the decision....
Right now, however, a delightful pinotage and Sahara on Film4 have left MrAverage in too amenable a mood for ranting. But hey, tomorrow is another day and another opportunity for lunacy and bad science !
